The Magic of Sunset

For as long as she can remember, Dominique Davis has paused for sunsets.

Over her life, Dominique has spent countless beautiful sunsets on the historic beaches of Normandy, the banks of the Seine in Paris, as well as  the shores of Maui, Los Angeles, and Cabo San Lucas. Most recently she has had the opportunity to experience the quiet peace on Emerald Isle, North Carolina.  No two sunsets are ever the same, yet each carries the same sense of wonder—a reminder that beauty exists in both beginnings and endings.

The Magic of Sunset Collection was born from a lifelong fascination with these transitions. Created with acrylic and concentrated watercolor on watercolor paper, each painting captures the emotion, color, and atmosphere of those fleeting moments when the sky becomes a living canvas and the water reflects its brilliance back to the world.

For Dominique, sunsets represent more than a landscape. They symbolize transformation, reflection, and the delicate balance between holding on and letting go. The transition from daylight to darkness, from vibrant color to quiet night, serves as a reminder that every ending creates space for a new beginning—and that both can be equally beautiful.
